Easy Onion Tomato Masala| How to make tomato masala with step by step photos
Easy to make side dish for chapathi,roti,rice etc…
Tomato masala is an easy to make delicious side dish. It is one of the traditional side dish of kerala breakfast menu. We can serve this tomato masala with chapathi,appam or even with rice. I used to make this masala mostly when I am in hurry or on my lazy weekends. This tomato masala with rice and an omelette makes a perfect lunch. Tomato masala taste good with chapathies and parathas. You can try this tomato masala with whole wheat naan,Egg paratha,Kerala style appam etc…
You can also try some more side dishes like Chicken Roast, Beef Curry, Mutton liver masala or Mutton potato masala,Meatball manchurian and vegetarian curries like Dum aloo,Dal Curry,Multi dal gravy

How to make tomato masala
¼ kg of tomato
2 no of onion
1 tbsp. of ginger garlic paste
3 no of sliced green chillies
2 -3 springs of curry leaves
¼ spn. of chilli powder
1/6 spn. of turmeric powder
1/8 spn. of coriander powder(optional)
1/8 spn. of garam masala
Salt as required
1 tbsp. of oil
Step 01Finely slice onion, green chillies and tomato.Crush ginger and garlic.
Step 02Heat oil in a pan.Add ginger garlic paste and sauté till raw smell goes off.
Step 03Add finely sliced onion and green chillies. Fry till onion become golden brown color.
Step 04Add sliced tomatoes and fry till tomatoes become half mushy.
Step 05Add chilli powder,turmeric powder and coriander powder and fry for 1 minute.
Step 06Finally sprinkle garam masala and add chopped coriander leaves. Mix well and remove from flame.
Step 07Serve hot with appam,rice,chapathi etc…
