Mackerel Masala (Ayala Masala)


Spicy juicy masala made with mackerel,onion,tomato,coconut milk etc…


Ingredients

  • 3 no of Mackerel Masala(Ayala Masala)
  • 1 no of big Onion
  • 3 no of Tomato
  • 5 no of Green chillies
  • 4 springs of Curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp. of Finely chopped ginger
  • 1 tbsp. of Finely chopped garlic
  • 1 cup of Coconut Milk(thick)
  • 1 amla shaped Tamarind
  • 1/2 spn. of Turmeric powder
  • 1 spn. of Chilli powder
  • 2 spn. of Oil
  • Salt as per taste

Method


Step 01

Heat oil in a pan.

Step 02

Add finely chopped ginger and garlic.Saute till raw smell goes off.

Step 03

Add finely chopped onion,green chilli and curry leaves.Fry till golden brown color.

Step 04

Add finely chopped tomato and saute till tomatoes get cooked well.

Step 05

If the mix becomes a thick paste,ad turmeric powder,chilli powder and salt.saute well for 2 minutes.

Step 06

Add fish and tamarind juice,cook for 5 minute.

Step 07

When fish gets cooked,add coconut milk.Cook for 3 minutes.

Step 08

Garnish with coriander leaves

Step 05

Garnish with fried onion,raisins and nuts
