Sweet and yummy traditional dessert of kerala
Palada pradhaman is my hubby’s all time favorite.2 days’s back of onam, my hubby asked me “can I get atleast one pradhaman for this onam?”.I just smiled :D.Because of some technical issues 😉 I couldn’t able to make a grant sadya for him..So thought of preparing a yummy palada pradhaman. Came out well.I am happy 🙂
250g of Palada
1 1/2 ltr of milk
1 tbsp. of Milkmade
1/2 spn. of cardamam powder
1 cup of sugar
1 tbsp. of ghee
Nuts and raisins to garnish
Pressure cook palada with 2 glass of water (1 whistle in medium flame).
Transfer palada to thick bottom vessel.
Add milk and boil well in low flame.Do not cover the pot.
Cook palada for 20 minutes.Stir continuously. Add.Add sugar and mix well.
Add cardamom powder and milkmade.Stir all the time till the payasam changes to pale cream color.
Remove from flame.
Heat a nonstick pan.Add 1 tbsp. of sugar.Stir till the sugar turned in to dark brown color.Add little ghee and stir well.
Add this sugar syrup to palada (This will give a pink color to palada)
Heat ghee in a pan.Roast nuts and raisins till golden brown color.Add this to pradhaman and mix well.
