Tomato Pulao | How to make tomato rice
Healthy and delicious tomato pulao recipe.
Tomato pulao is a very easy to make one pot meal. Compared to other rice dishes, pulao is more healthy and easy. I have already posted Tomato rice which is my all time favourite dish. I would like to have tomato rice with vegetable raita. You can also check for some delicious rice recipes like

1/2 kg of rice(sona masoori,biryani rice,jeera rice etc…)
1/2 kg of tomato
1 no of onion
1 spn. of ginger garlic green chilli paste
2 no of cinnamon sticks
1 no of cardamom
2 no of cloves
1/2 spn. of pepper
1/2 spn. of turmeric powder
3/4 spn. of chilli powder
1/2 spn. of garam masala
1 tbsp. of lemon juice
1 spn. of butter/ghee
3 tbsp. of chopped coriander leaves
3 tbsp. of chopped mint leaves
salt as required
Step 01Wash and soak rice in water for 15 minutes. Drain it and keep aside.
Step 02Heat butter/ghee in a pressure cooker or pan.
Step 03Add chopped onion,cinnamon sticks,cardamom and cloves. Add ginger garlic paste and saute till raw smell goes off.
Step 04Add chopped tomatoes and cook till tomatoes become mushy.
Step 05Add pepper powder,chilli powder,turmeric powder,coriander leaves, mint leaves and fry for a while.
Step 06Add soaked rice and fry for 1 minute.
Step 07Add water (for one cup of rice add 1 1/2 cup of water). Add salt and 1 tbsp. of lemon juice.
Step 08Cover the lid and cook for 1 whistle in medium flame. Open the lid only after 5-7 minutes. Sprinkle garam masala and mix well.
1.You can add any vegetables of your wish like cauliflower,potato,beans etc…
2.Adding fried soya chunks will make the pualo more tasty.
3.You can also make this pulao without crushed ginger and garlic.
