Vegetable Rava Upma

Vegetable upma is very easy to prepare and healthy as we are adding vegetables


  • 2 cup of Rava/Semolina
  • 1 1/2 cup of Water
  • 1 no of large Onion
  • 5 no of Green chilli
  • 1 cup of Mixed vegetables(carrot,beans,potato,peas etc…)
  • 1 tbsp. of Chopped ginger
  • To season

  • 1tbsp. of Oil
  • 1 spn. of Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 spn. of Chana dal
  • 1 tbsp. of Coriander leaves
  • 2 springs of Curry leaves


Step 01

Dry roast rava for 5-7 min in medium flame and keep aside.

Step 02

Heat oil in a pan.

Step 03

Splutter mustard seeds. Then add chana dal,urd dal coriander leaves and curry leaves

Step 04

Add chopped onion,ginger and green chilli.Fry well till golden brown color.

Step 05

Add chopped vegetables and salt. Fry for 5 min in medium flame.

Step 06

Add water(for 1 cup of rava, I took 1 ½ cup of water).Close lid of the pan and cook in low flame.

Step 07

When water gets boiled, Add rava and stir well for 2 min.

Step 08

Sugar coated tomato is a good side dish for upma.
