Gothambu Puttu| Wheat Puttu
Traditional kerala breakfast
Gothambu Puttu – very famous and tradtional breakfast recipe of Kerala. Usually we make puttu with rice flour. Here I made this outtu with wheat flour to make it more healthy. wheat puttu is very good for diabetcis people and weight watchers. We can also try the same dish with ragi flour, semolina (rava) etc. I have already posted puttu upma, puttu cherupayar curry. Perfect combination for puttu is kadala curry (with coconut (kadala curry without coconut).Hope you all will like these recipes.

2 cup of Wheat flour
1/2 cup of Grated coconut
Salt as required
Add salt in to wheat flour and mix well.
Add water little by little to the flour and mix it.
You should be careful while mixing water because it should not change into dough consistency.It should be a wet powdered form.
Add 1 S grated coconut in to puttu maker,then add a handful of flour mix.again add grated coconut then wheat flour.
Close the lid and steam for 5 minutes in medium flame.
