    Aloo Mushroom roast is a healthy side dish that goes well with rice, paratha, naan. This is an easy-to-make side dish with few ingredients. Potato and mushroom are always a good combination and we can make gravy, dry fry, curry, etc… 

    As well all know mushroom has lots of health benefits. It is low in calorie, fat-free, and cholesterol-free vegetables. Potato and mushroom is a very tasty combination.

    How to make aloo mushroom roast?



    • 250g of mushroom
    • 2 big potato
    • 1 no of onion
    • 1 spn of ginger garlic paste
    • 3-4 green chillies
    • 1/2 spn of chilli powder
    • 1/4 spn of turmeric powder
    • 1/2 spn of coriander powder
    • 1/2 spn of garam masala
    • 1/2 spn of pepper powder (optional)
    • Salt as required
    • 2 tbsp of oil


    Step 1

    Clean and wash mushrooms and potatoes. Cut into small pieces. Keep aside separately.

    Step 2

    Add 1 spn of oil to a pan and add mushroom pieces. Saute for 2-3 minutes to remove the water content from the mushroom.

    Step 3

    Take the mushroom pieces from flame and keep them aside. Add remaining oil and add finely chopped onion.

    Step 4

    Fry for 1-2 minutes. Add green chillies and curry leaves.

    Step 5

    Add ginger-garlic paste and saute till the raw smell goes off.

    Step 6

    Add potato pieces and fry for 4-5 minutes on low flame. Add 1/4 cup of water and salt. Cover the pan for 2-3 minutes and cook on low flame.

    Step 7

    When the potatoes get half cooked, add mushroom. increase the flame and fry for a while.

    Step 8

    Add all the spices and fry for 1-2 minutes. Garnish with coriander leaves (optional)

    Step 9

    Serve hot with roti, rice etc.
