Pomelo Fruit Pickle | Babloos Naranga Achar
Crunchy and spicy pickle with babloose fruit
Babloos Naranga achar is a sweet and spicy pickle made with the pomelo fruit. Pomelo is very famous in South India especially in Kerala. In Kerala, our area it is known as babloos fruit. Some other places it is called as kambili naranga. It is a sweet crunchy fruit like musambi. We ate this fruit simply with salt and chili powder or as it is. Usually we make pickle with other kind of a big lemon ( in our place it is known as ganapathy naranga) which is slight bitter in taste. I just tried tried this pickle with babloos and I was not sure about the taste and all. I made it and stored in a glass bottle and opened after 2 weeks. It was delicious. The fruit is still crunchy. I have added some garlic and green chili also. Hope you all will try this pickle.
