Beef Stew
Yummy non spicy beef stew with coconut milk.
Stew is a traditional side dish of kerala we used to prepare with Appam. We make stew with vegetables,chicken,mutton etc…This beef stew is quiet different in taste and we are using ground coconut mixture instead of coconut milk. We can serve this beef stew with Appam, chappathi etc…

How to make Beef Stew
Ingredients
- 500 g of Beef
- 2 no of Potato
- 3 no of Cinnamon
- 3 no of bay leaf
- 3 no of cloves
- 4 no of cardamom
- 10 no of shallots
- 2 TS of ginger garlic paste
- 2 no of Tomato
- 1 S of Crushed pepper
- 1/2 S of Chilli powder
- 1/4 S of Turmeric powder
- 1/2 S of Garam masala
- 1/2 of one Coconut
- 1 TS of oil
- Salt as required
- 2 springs of curry leaves
Beef Stew Preparation Method
Step 01
Take a thick bottom vessel.Add washed beef along with chopped shallots,ginger garlic paste,chopped tomatoes,crushed curry leaves,chilli powder,turmeric powder,crushed pepper and salt.Mix and squeeze well with hands. keep aside for 15 minute.
Step 02
Heat oil in a pressure cooker.
Step 03
Add cinnamon sticks,cloves and crushed cardamom.Saute for a while.
Step 04
Add marinated beef and chooped potato. Mix well.
Step 05
Add 2 TS of water if needed.Cover the lid and cook for 10 min.(up to 2 whistle in lowflame)
Step 06
Grind the grated coconut to a smooth paste.
Step 07
Add this coconut mix to cooked beef.Cook under low flame.Do not allow to boil.
Step 08
Turn off the flame and serve hot with Appam,chappathi etc…
