Beetroot Carrot Kheer

Beetroot carrot kheer is a tasty and healthy kheer especially for kids.Beetroot and carrots are rich source of vitamins,minerals and iron.This is the one of best way to make your kids to eat beets and carrots 😉 .

How to make beetroot carrot kheer?


1 no of Beetroot
3 no of Carrot
1 cup of Coconut Milk(thick)
1 1/2 cup of Coconut Milk(thin)
1 cup of Diluted jaggery
1/2 spn. of Dried ginger powder(chukku)
1/2 spn. of Cardamom powder
Nuts and raisins as required
1 pinch of Salt
1 tbsp. of Ghee


Step 01

Peel the skin of beetroot and carrot.Pressure cook with little amount of water for 5 min in medium flame.

Step 02

Cool it and grind well(Add 1 TS of thin coconut milk while grinding).

Step 03

Take thick bottom vessel and add this mix.

Step 04

Cook in low flame.Stir continuously.When lumps are coming out,add diluted jaggery. Stir well for 2 min.

Step 05

Sprinkle cardamom powder, and dried ginger powder.Mix well.

Step 06

Add thin coconut milk and stir for 2 min.

Step 07

Add thick coconut milk and remove from flame.

Step 08

Heat 1 tablespoon ghee in a pan and fry cashew nuts and sprinkle it along with the ghee over the kheer.Add a pinch of salt.Mix well and serve hot.
