Beetroot Hummus
A healthy middle eastern starter dip for your dinner party.We used to prepare hummus with chickpeas.I saw this recipe in a magazine.So I thought of making something healthy for my dinner.Tried this dish,went out good.There was not much taste difference as normal chickpeas hummus.But of course beetroot made the dish more healthy and colorful.Beetroot is rich in potassium, magnesium, iron, vitamins A, B6 and C, folic acid, carbohydrates, protein,antioxidants etc…Dear friends,please try out this recipe and let me know how it went out for you.
How to make beetroot hummus
Ingredients
250g of boiled chickpeas
200g of peeled and boiled beetroot
100g of sesame seeds
4 cloves of garlic
1 spn. of lime juice
2 spn. of olive oil
Salt as required
Method
Step 01
Place all the ingredients in a food processor or mixer grinder and process till smooth.
Step 02
Serve with roti,bread etc…
beetroot hummus is good for kids.You can serve this dip with bread,chappathi,roti etc…Beetroot is rich in iron and chickpeas are full of protein.Replace your bakery items with something healthy like chappathi hummus rolls,bread and hummus spread etc…Healthy living 🙂
