Capsicum Chutney Recipe
Easy and healthy capsicum chutney recipe
Capsicum chutney is a variety and easy to make chutney with few ingredients. Mostly we include capsicum in recipes like fried rice,chilli chicken etc… But a chutney with capsicum was new to me. I got this recipe from a magazine along with some health benefits. Capsicum is rich in vitamin A and vitamin C. It prevents cell damage and improves immunity. This capsicum chuntey goes well with Dosa,Idli,Appam etc…

Ingredients
2 medium sized capsicum
4 no of garlic cloves
2 medium sized tomato
1 small piece of tamarind
1/4 spn. of turmeric
1/2 spn. of chilli powder
2 spn. of oil
For seasoning
1 spn. of oil
1/6 spn. of mustard seeds
1/8 spn. of cumin seeds
1 spn. of curry leaves
Capsicum Chutney Preparation Method
Step 01
Heat oil in a pan.
Step 02
Add chopped capsicum. Fry for 3-4 minutes in medium flame.
Step 03
Add garlic cloves. Fry for 1-2 minutes. Add salt and stir well.(It will take around 5-6 minutes cook the capsicum)
Step 04
Add chopped tomato and tamarind. Fry till tomatoes became mushy.
Step 05
Add turmeric powder chilli powder. Saute for 2 minutes.
Step 06
Allow to cool and grind to smooth paste.
Step 07
Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds,cumin seeds and curry leaves. Pour over the chutney and mix well.
Step 08
Serve with Idli,dosa etc…
