Healthy rice with capsicum and green gram sprouts
Capsicum rice with green gram sprouts. It is a very easy to make nutritious recipe. We can prepare this rice within 15 minutes. Usually we make curries and stir fries with capsicum. Capsicum is rich in vitamin A and vitamin C. It prevents cell damage and improves immunity. I have already posted capsicum chutney with step by step photos . How to make capsicum rice
1 no of cardamom
3 piece of cloves
2 no of cinnamon sticks
1 spn. of oil or butter
1 spn. of cumin seeds
2 no of chopped onion
2 cup of chopped capsicum
1 spn. of pepper powder
1 cup of green gram sprouts(How to make home made sprouter at home)
2 cup of cooked rice
salt as required
Wash and soak rice in water for 15 minutes. Cook rice,drain and keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan. Add all the ingredients mentioned under whole spices. Fry till they become fragrant.
Add cumin seeds. Add chopped onion and fry till it become golden brown color.
Add chopped capsicum and fry for 4-5 minutes. Add chopped coriander leaves saute for 2 minutes again.
Add sprouts and mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes. Add pepper powder.
Add cooked rice and mix well. Adjust salt. Cover the pan and cook in low flame for 5 minutes.
