Carrot Halwa / Gajar Ka Halwa

Carrot halwa or Gajar ka halwa is a very famous sweet dish of Indian cuisine which originated from Punjab. Making of this dessert is so simple and we can store this dish in refrigerator for many days. Carrot halwa is an all time favorite of my family and my kids ask me to prepare at least 2-3 times in a month. I feel it is a perfect way to make our little ones eat carrots.

We can make carrot halwa in many ways and here I am sharing the traditional way. I have used carrots, milk, ghee and milk. We can also make this dessert with condensed milk or khoya to make it more tasty. You can also check for my easy to make sweet dishes like Badam Kesari, Beetroot kesari, wheat laddu etc. Hope you all will like this recipe.
