Chakka puzhukku is a traditional side dish of Kerala. Jackfruit is a seasonal fruit that has lots of health benefits and we make many varieties of dishes like Chakka pazham pori | Jackfruit fritters, Idichakka Thoran| How to make idichakka thoran ,Chakka Pradhaman | Kerala Style Jackfruit Payasam with step by step photos ,Jackfruit Kesari , Cheera chakkakkuru curry(Spinach and jackfruit seed curry) etc. We make chakka puzhukku for the Vishu festival (New year of Kerala) as it is the jackfruit season. We also make sadya for Vishu with Payasam. Both raw and ripen jackfruit is used for making recipes. I made this chakka puzhukku in a traditional way by adding grated coconut, cumin seeds, green chillies and garlic. Hope you all will like this easy chakka puzhukku recipe. Ingredients
- 4 cup of Chopped Unripe jackfruit
- 2 cup of grated coconut
- 3 no of Garlic
- 4 no of Green chillies.
- 1/4 spn. of Cumin seeds
- 1/4 spn. of turmeric powder
- 1/2 spn. of chilli powder
- 2 springs of curry leaves
- 2 tbsp. of Coconut oil
- Salt to taste
