How to make Kerala style cheera curry without coconut
Ingredients
1 bunch of Spinach(Cheera)
100 g of Toor Dal
5 no of Shallots
1 large Tomato
1/2 spn. of Cumin seeds
1 spn. of Chilli powder
1/2 spn. of Turmeric Powder
Salt as required
1 spn. of mustard seeds
4 no of Red chillies
Method
Step 01
Pressure cook toor dal along with turmeric powder,chilli powder,salt and tomato till 2 whistle in low flame.
Step 02
Add chopped spinach and cook for 5 minutes. Grind coconut along with cumin seeds and shallots.
Step 03
Add grounded coconut paste to spinach. When it starts to boil switch off the flame. Do not allow to boil.
Step 04
Heat oil in another pan.
Step 05
Heat oil in a pan.
Step 06
Splutter mustard seeds and red chillies.
Step 07
Add this seasoning to curry and mix well.
