    Traditional Kerala style chicken curry recipe

    Chicken curry is a very common side dish which can be serve with ghee rice,chapathi,idiyappam,appam etc… When we are cooking chicken curry or any meat we should prepare it in low flame to get soft and tender meat.

    How to make delicious Chicken Curry



    • 1 kg of Chicken
    • 3 medium sized Onions
    • 4 medium sized Tomatoes
    • 2 tbsp. of Ginger Garlic Paste
    • 1/2 tsp. of Turmeric Powder
    • 3/4 tsp. of chilli Powder
    • 1 tsp. of Coriander Powder
    • 2 tsp. of Garam Masala
    • 2-3 Green Chillies
    • Some Curry Leaves
    • A handful of Coriander Leaves
    • Salt for Taste
    • Oil for Saute


    Step 01

    Heat oil in pan,add chopped onion and green chilli and saute well.

    Step 02

    Add little salt and fry for 4-5 minutes.

    Step 03

    when onion get fried well, add ginger garlic paste. Saute till raw smell goes off.

    Step 04

    Add tomatoes and fry till it become mushy.

    Step 05

    Add all the spices one by one. Stir well for 2 min.

    Step 06

    Add chicken pieces and curry leaves.

    Step 07

    Mix all the things, close the pan with lid and cook for 10 min. Add 1/2 glass of water if required.

    Garnish with coriander leaves.
