Chicken samosa recipe. Samosa is an all time favorite snack of Indian cuisine. We can make samosa with different varieties of filling inside. North Indian samosa is soft and is made with potato masala where as south Indian samosa is very crunchy with onion and peas filling. In this post I would like to share chicken samosa recipe which we usually make in ramzan time. The recipe is very simple and required very few ingredients. Hope you all will like this recipe.

How to make Chicken Samosa

Ingredients

    For Filling

  • 250 grams of Chicken
  • 2 medium sized Onions
  • 2-3 Green Chillies
  • 1 small piece of Ginger
  • 6-8 Garlic cloves
  • 1/4 tsp. of Chilli powder
  • 1/6 tsp. of Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp. of Pepper powder
  • 3 tbsp. of coriander leaves
  • Oil for Deep frying
  • Salt as per taste
  • For Samosa Sheet

  • 500 grams of All purpose flour(maida)
  • Salt as per taste

Method


Step 01

Cook chicken pieces with 1/4 S turmeric powder,pepper powder and salt.

Step 02

Remove bones (or you can use boneless pieces).

Step 03

Shred the chicken in grinder for 1-2 seconds.

Step 04

Finely chop onion,garlic,green chilli and ginger.

Step 05

Heat oil in a pan.

Step 06

Add onion and green chillies. Fry for one minute.

Step 07

Add crushed ginger and garlic. Stir well till the raw smell goes off.

Step 08

Add chilli powder,coriander powder,garam masala,salt and remaining 1/4 S turmeric powder.

Step 09

Add shredded chicken and mix well. Finally add chopped coriander leaves and mix again. Close lid and cook for 5 min. Stir often while cooking.

Samosa Sheet

Step 01

Take flour in a bowl. Add water little by little and knead to thick dough consistency

Step 02

Take a lemon sized ball from the dough and roll to thin chapathi shape

Step 03

Cut the sheet in to half as shown in the picture.

Step 04

Take 1 spoon of filling and place on the center of the sheet and fold as shown below

Step 05

Stick the edge with water.

Step 06

Deep fry till golden color.serve hot.
