Chinese Style Pepper Chicken
Delicious Chinese style pepper chicken recipe.
Chinese style pepper chicken with crunchy onion and cabbage.You can feel the sweet and sour taste of juicy chicken pieces within. This pepper chicken is a semi gravy type and goes well with fried rice,nan,paratha,chappathi etc…As it name implies, we are using pepper powder for spiciness of the dish .

250 g of chicken(boneless pieces preferred )
1 tbsp. of cornflour
1 spn. of Pepper powder
1 tbsp. of Ginger garlic paste
1 spn. of Vinegar
1 spn. of Lemon
1 spn. of soy sauce
2 no of sliced onion
10 no of Garlic finely chopped
1 small piece of finely chopped ginger
1 cup of chopped cabbage(cube shaped)
2 no of sliced green chilli
1/2 spn. of soy sauce
1 spn. of tomato sauce
1/2 spn. of cornflour
Salt to taste
Oil for deep fry
Chinese style Pepper Chicken preparation method
Marinate chicken pieces with corn flour,ginger garlic paste,1/2 S of pepper powder,vinegar.lemon juice and salt.keep aside for 15 minutes.
Deep fry chicken pieces and keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan.
Add finely chopped garlic and ginger.Saute for a while.
Add sliced onion,green chillies and saute till onion gets translucent.
Add cube shaped cabbage pieces and saute for 1 minute.
Add pepper powder and mix well.
Add soy sauce and tomato sauce.Add chicken pieces and mix well.
Add chicken pieces and mix well.Dilute cornflour in 1/4 cup of water and pour over chicken pieces.
Mix well and cover the lid. Cook in low flame for 2 minutes.
Remove from flame.Serve hot
