Traditional  North Indian side dish with Chickpea

Chole Masala or chana masala is a popular Punjabi side dish. It is prepared with white chana, onion, tomatoes and some Indian spices. The perfect combination for chole masala is Batura. I have posted Rava Batura recipe before.

The taste of this chole masala depends on how well the chana is cooked. It should be soft and tender. Usually we make this chole masala with ground paste of onion, tomatoes, garlic, ginger and some spices. Here made tomato puree and put all other ingredients as such.

I have already posted some healthy recipes like Chickpea salad and Hummus.

Hope you all will like this chole masala recipe. Please try it out and let me know how it turned out for you.
