Traditional side dish for South Indian breakfast
Coconut chutney is very famous traditional side dish of India.It is an easy to make and simple side dish for breakfast like Idli,Dosa and appam . Mint leaves chutney is very simple and easy to make. We can prepare coconut chutney in many ways like by adding curd, red chilli powder, tomato etc… Here I made the chutney with coconut and curd which gives a nice sour taste for the chutney. Hope you all will like this easy chutney version.

How to make coconut chutney
1 cup of grated Coconut
2 tbsp. of curd
5 no of shallots
1 small piece of ginger
4 no of green chillies
1 spn. of oil
1 spn. of mustard seeds
2 springs of curry leaves
Salt as required
Grind grated coconut,shallots,green chillies,ginger with curd and salt.
Heat oil in a pan.
Splutter mustard seeds. Add curry leaves and red chillies. Fry for 1/2 minutes.
Add add coconut paste and mix well. Switch off the flame when the chutney starts boil.
Serve hot with idli and dosa.
