Curd Rice Recipe
Simple and easy south Indian rice dish enriched with fruits,vegetables and nuts.
Curd rice is the star of South Indian cuisine especially in Tamil Nadu. It is a very simple and nutritious comfort food and tastes more delicious with tomato pickle. I have already posted traditional curd rice recipe of Tamil Nadu which is very simple and needed only few ingredients. In this curd rice I have added some vegetables, fruits and nuts which makes this recipe crunchy.

How to make Curd Rice?
Ingredients
- 1 cup of Curd
- 2 cups of cooked Rice(half bolied/Pachari)
- 1-2 Green Chillies
- 2 tbsp. of grated carrot
- 2 tbsp. of pomegranate
- Salt for taste
For Seasoning
- 1 tsp. of Oil
- 1/4 tsp. Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 tsp. of Toor dal
- 2 spn. of finely chopped onion
- 1/2 spn. of finely chopped ginger
- 1 spring of curry leaves
- 2 tbsp. of Coriander leaves
- 2 no of dried Red Chillies
- 5 no of roasted nuts
Method
Step 01
Mix cooked rice with curd,chopped green chilli,grated carrot,pomegranate and salt.
Step 02
Heat oil in a pan.
Step 03
Splutter mustard seeds,toor dal,nuts,chopped onion and ginger.fry for 1/2 minute.
Step 04
Add curry leaves,chopped coriander leaves.Saute for a while.
Step 05
Remove from flame and add this seasoning to curd rice and mix well.
Step 06
Serve with pickle or mulaku kondattam.
