Prawns are more tasty among seafood items. Kerala prawns dishes are very famous and delicious. I made this recipe with dried prawns which are easily available in market. This dried prawns curry is a traditional recipe of Kerala. My mom tought me this recipe. It is a mouthwatering tangy curry that goes well with rice. 200 g of Dried prawns
1 no of Mango
1 no of Drumstick
1/2 of one Grated coconut
10 no of Shallots
1 spoon of Turmeric powder
1 spoon of chilli powder
Salt as required
1 spoon of Oil
1 spoon of Mustard seeds
1 spoon of Fenugreek seeds
1 spring of Curry leaves
Dry roast the dried prawns in a pan at medium heat(1-2 min). Remove their heads and tails. Set aside.
Grind the grated coconut, chilly Powder,coriander Powder,turmeric powder and shallots.
Cut mangoes and drumstick in to medium pieces.
Combine the dried prawns, mango slices,drumstick pieces, ground coconut mixture, curry leaves and salt in a pan or earthen pot.
Add little water. Mix everything well.Cook in low flame till done.
Heat oil in a pan.Splutter mustard seeds and fenugreek seeds.Add curry leaves.
Add this seasoning to curry and mix well.
Serve hot with rice
