Dried prawns curry with mangoes. Prawns are more tasty among seafood items and Kerala prawns dishes are very famous and delicious. We make lots of dishes with prawns like curry, biriyani, fry etc. Here I made this curry also called konjum manga curry with dried prawns, mango and drumstick. This is a traditional recipe of Kerala and my mom who is an expert in making this curry taught me this. Dried prawns and mango is always a mouth watering combination. We make delicious unakkachemmeen chamanthi with this dried prawns, coconut and mango. this knojum manga curry is a very easy to make side dish which goes well with rice. I have already tried some delicious prawns recipes like Chinese Style Prawns fry ,Prawn masala,Dried Prawns chutney powder (chemmeen podi),Pepper prawns,Prawns head fry. 200 g of Dried prawns 1 no of Mango 1 no of Drumstick 1/2 of one Grated coconut 10 no of Shallots 1 spoon of Turmeric powder 1 spoon of chilli powder Salt as required Seasoning 1 spoon of Oil 1 spoon of Mustard seeds 1 spoon of Fenugreek seeds 1 spring of Curry leaves


Step 01

Dry roast the dried prawns in a pan at medium heat(1-2 min). Remove their heads and tails. Set aside.

Step 02

Grind the grated coconut, chilly Powder,coriander Powder,turmeric powder and shallots.

Step 03

Cut mangoes and drumstick in to medium pieces.

Step 04

Combine the dried prawns, mango slices,drumstick pieces, ground coconut mixture, curry leaves and salt in a pan or earthen pot.

Step 05

Add little water. Mix everything well.Cook in low flame till done.

Step 06

Heat oil in a pan.Splutter mustard seeds and fenugreek seeds.Add curry leaves.

Step 07

Add this seasoning to curry and mix well.

Step 08

Serve hot with rice
