Easy paal payasam with just three ingredients.
Kerala style paal paysam prepared in the pressure cooker. Paysam is an all-time favorite for Keralites and it is also an integral part of Kerala Sadya. Paal paysam is a traditional sweet dish of Kerala and we make it with both sugar and jaggery. Sugar is giving the pink color to the paysam through a long time cooking process. Here I have used only three ingredients for making this paal paysam. The pink color and creamy texture of this paal payasam are really tempting. I got this recipe from my school friend’s WhatsApp group. I used to add caramelized sugar in palada but after I tried this recipe, I felt this is a super-easy way to get the exact pink color for payasam. Raw rice will taste good for paal paysam and I have used sona masoori rice. You can also use any pulao or biriyani rice for making this dish. Even though it will take more than 45 minutes to cook this paal payasam, it is worth the taste. I made this paysam in a pressure cooker but you can also cook in a normal way but it will take lots of time to get the pink and creamy consistency if we cook in a vessel.
