Delicious Fish cutlet recipe
Fish cutlet recipe in Malabar style. We used to make cutlet with chicken,meat etc… This fish cutlet is quiet different in taste. I got this recipe from my house owner. She was an expert in making fish recipes. We can use any fish for making this cutlet. I used Mackerel and the taste was good. You can also use salmon,tuna etc….Taste so good with mint chutney, tomato ketchup etc…Dear friends do try it out. I am sure that you will like it 🙂

How to make Fish Cutlet
Ingredients
2 no of mackerel(ayala) fish
2 large sized potato
2 tbsp. of ginger garlic paste
A handful of coriander leaves
¼ spn. Of turmeric powder
¼ spn. Of chilli powder
Salt as required
Oil for fry
3 no of egg whites
1 cup of breadcrumbs
Method
Step 01
Cook potatoes and mash it (cook properly in order for them to mash smoothly).Keep aside
Step 02
Cook mackerel with ½ spn. of turmeric and salt.Once it is cooked,remove the thrones.Mix well with hands.Keep aside.
Step 03
Heat oil in a pan
Step 04
Add ginger garlic paste.Saute till raw smell goes off.
Step 05
Add finely chopped onion and green chillies.Fry till onion become translucent.
Step 06
Add chopped coriander leaves,chilly powder and turmeric powder. Saute for a while.
Step 07
Add cooked fish and mix well.Fry for 1-2 minutes.
Step 08
Add mashed potatoes and mix well.
Step 09
Add salt and stir well for 1-2 minutes. Remove from fire and allow to cool.
Step 10
Take small lemon sized mix and make cutlet shape as you wish.
Step 11
Heat oil in a kadai(To deep fry the cutlet)
Step 12
Beat the eggs white well.
Step 13
Dip each cutlet in egg and then roll in breadcrumbs.
Step 14
Deep fry in oil till golden brown color
