Fruit custard is an easy to make Indian dessert enriched with the goodness of fruits and dry fruits. This delicious dessert is made with custard powder, milk, sugar and fruits. I got this custard recipe from my mother in low who prepare this dessert after most of the weekend biriyani. Later I also started making this fruit custard for house parties, birthdays, Eid etc.
Fruit custard is a best option to indulge our sugar cravings. We can add any fruits of our choice in this custard and nuts gives a crunchy feel tot he dessert. Hope you all will like this recipe. Please try it out and let me know how it turned out for you.
Ingredients
3 tbsp. of Vanilla flavored custard powder
500 ml of milk
4 tbsp. of Sugar
Mixed fruits of desired amount
1 Apple
1/4 of one ripe papaya
1 banana
1/2 of one plantain
5 no of dates
10 no of nuts
Fruit Custard Preparation Method
Step 01
Cut fruits of your choice and keep in refrigerator.
Step 02
Mix 2 tbsp. of custard powder in 4 tbsp. of milk and make a smooth paste.
Step 03
Boil remaining milk.Add sugar and stir well.
Step 04
Add custard mix and stir continuously until it becomes thick.(low flame)
Step 05
Remove from fire and allow to cool.
Step 06
When it comes to room temperature,refrigerate.It will become more thick when cooled.
Step 07
Arrange fruits in a bowl and pour the custard over it just before serving.
Note :
- If your custard is too thick,just blend it using mixer grinder(My kid don’t like the thick custard.So I just put the custard mix in grinder and blended for 2-3 seconds to make a pouring consistency 🙂
- You can add condensed milk for more taste instead of sugar
