Spicy Restaurant Style Green Peas Masala
Green Peas Masala is a delicious side dish goes well with chappathi,naan,appam etc…Green peas with roasted coconut is my Mom’s super dish.I like it a lot (Will post the recipe soon 😉 ).I learned this green peas masala from my aunty and now I will prepare this recipe once in a week with chapathi or appam.Hope you all will like this green peas masala 🙂
Ingredients
500g of Green peas (Soaked overnight)
2 tbsp. of ginger garlic green chilli paste
2 no of medium sized onion
3 no of medium sized tomato
3 no green sliced chilli
3 springs of curry leaves
1 spn. of chilli powder
1/2 spn. of turmeric powder
1/4 spn. of garam masala
1/4 spn. of coriander powder
2 spn. of lemon juice
Salt as required
2 tbsp. of oil
Green Peas Masala Preparation Method
Step 01
Pressure cook soaked green peas till 2 whistle in medium flame.
Step 02
Heat oil in a pan.
Step 03
Add ginger garlic paste.Saute till raw smell goes off.
Step 04
Add sliced onion,curry leaves and sliced green chillies.
Step 05
Fry till onion gets golden brown color.
Step 06
Add chopped tomatoes.Fry well till tomatoes become mushy.
Step 07
When oil starts to come out from tomato onion mix,add chilli powder,turmeric powder,coriander powder.Fry for 1/2 minute in low flame.
Step 08
Add cooked green peas.Add salt and green peas.
Step 09
Mix well.Cover lid and cook in low flame for 5 minute.
Step 10
Finally add lemon juice at the time of serving.
Step 11
Serve hot with chapati or appam
