    Moru kachiyathu is a daily integral part of Kerala cuisine. This is a simple and easy to cook side dish. kachimoru is a common Moru kachiyathu is a daily integral part of Kerala cuisine. It is nothing but seasoned buttermilk which is served with rice. This is a simple and easy to cook side dish prepared everyday in daily lunch menu of Kerala.

    The perfect combination of kachimoru is with rice and pappad. We can also prepare kachimoru without using coconut also. I have already posted different curd curry recipes like  Kurukku Kalan,Moru Curry,Muringakka Moru Kalan. Hope you all will like this recipes.     How to make Moru kachiyathu / Kachimoru?

    Ingredients

    • 2 cup of Curd
    • 1/4 cup of grated coconut
    • 1/2 tspn. of Cumin seeds
    • 1/2 tspn. of Mustard seeds
    • 1 small piece of Ginger
    • 2 no of green chillies
    • 1/4 tspn. of Turmeric powder
    • 2-3 Green chillies
    • Salt as required
    • Oil as required

    Method


    Step 01

    Grind coconut along with small piece of ginger,green chillies,cumin seeds and curd to a smooth paste. Keep it aside.

    Step 01

    Heat oil in a pan.

    Step 02

    Splutter mustard seeds. Add cumin seeds,curry leaves,red chilli. Fry for a while.

    Step 03

    Add chopped ginger and saute well.

    Step 04

    Reduce flame,add turmeric powder and saute for 2 seconds.

    Step 05

    Add curd,salt and mix well for 1 min. Turn Off the flame.
