Kerala Style Mango Pickle recipe. Pickles are integral part of an Indian kitchen. We used to prepare lemon pickle and mango pickle mostly in Kerala. This pickle goes well with curd rice . We can prepare mango pickle in many ways. This recipe I got from my Mom. She is an expert in making pickles. Her gooseberry pickle is very famous. Hope you all will like this recipe.

How to make Mango Pickle


5 no of Raw Mango
2 tbsp. of Ginger garlic crushed
4 no of Green chilli
3 springs of Curry Leaves
2 tbsp. of Chilli powder
1/2 spn. of Asafoetida
1/2 spn. of Fenugreek powder
1 spn. of Mustard Seeds
3 tbsp. of Vinegar
Salt as required
1 spn. of sesame oil

Mango Pickle Preparation Method

Step 01

Cut Mango in to small pieces.

Step 02

Heat oil in pan.

Step 03

Splutter mustard seeds.Reduce the flame to low.Add chilli powder,fenugreek powder,asafoetida and stir for a while.

Step 04

Add crushed ginger garlic mix,green chilli and curry leaves.Stir for 1 minute.

Step 05

Add mangoes and salt.stir well.

Step 06

Add vinegar and cook for 1 minute in low flame.

Step 07

Allow to cool and store in glass bottle.
