Manjal ela ada is a traditional snack item of Kerala. Ada is an authentic Kerala delicacy made with rice flour, jaggery and grated coconut. Banana leaf is used for making traditional ada in a steamed or tawa cooked version. This time I would like to share the recipe of manjal ela (turmeric leaves) ada which I got from my mother in law.

I tried traditional ada and Ragi ila ada but ada in turmeric leaf was new to me. I was not sure about the taste of the dish when I was making it. But it came out very well and the taste was delicious. It had a nice aroma of turmeric leaf which was mouth watering. Moreover making ada in turmeric leaf has lots of health benefits such as it helps to boost digestion, and reduces gastric issues.
