Spicy tangy dip made from mint leaves.


Mint chutney / pudina chutney is very famous traditional side dish of Indian cuisine. It is an easy to make and simple side dish for breakfast. We prepare chutney for dosa, idli, appam etc… Mint leaves chutney is very simple and easy to make. We can prepare this chutney in many ways. Here I made the chutney with coconut and curd.

We can prepare this pudina chutney without using coconut also. If we are making chutney with mint for tandoori items, no need to use the coconut. I will post the separate recipe soon. Hope you all will like this easy chutney version.

Ingredients

  • A Large bunch of Mint Leaves
  • 3 tbsp of Grated Coconut
  • 2-3 cloves of Garlic
  • 1-2 no of green chillies
  • 3 tbsp of Curd
  • Salt to taste

Method


Step 01

Add grated coconut,green chillies and garlic in a grinder

Step 02

Crush the mix to a coarse paste.

Step 03

Add curd and grind well.Mint leaves chutney is now ready to serve

step by step mint leaves chutney recipe :

1.Take 3 tbsp. of grated coconut, a handful of pudhina, 2 no of green chillies, 2-3 cloves of garlic in a pot and curd in separate bowl.

2.Put coconut,mint leaves,green chillies and garlic in small jar of mixer grinder

3.Crush the mix to a coarse form . If you add all the things together , the chutney will not grind well.

4.Then add curd and salt.

5.Grind to smooth paste.Mint chuntey is now ready to serve.

Note:We can use this mint leaves chutney with idli,dosa etc…

Mint leaves are good for health.Try to include mint leaves in your dishes like mint tea,mint lemonade etc…
