Delicious lentil fritters for snack
Mint vada is an easy to make tea time snack which requires very few ingredients. Lentil fritters are very famous snack item in South India. Here I have added mint leaves (Puthina)to the lentil fritters mix and made mint lentil fritters. Adding mint leaves gives a nice aroma and taste to the fritters. I have already posted some snacks recipes like cabbage pakkavada,chicken pakkavada,curd vada,mint vada etc… Hope you all will like this recipes.

How to make mint lentil fritters
Ingredients
500g of Chana dhal
1 bunch of Mint leaves(Puthina)
1/4 bunch of Coriander leaves
3 no of Green chillies
10 no of Shallots
1 small piece of Ginger
2 springs of curry leaves
Salt as required
Method
Step 01
Soak chana for about 2-3 hours and drain it.Crush the chana dal using grinder. Do not over grind it.
Step 02
Add finely chopped small onion,green chilli, finely chopped mint leaves,curry leaves,coriander leaves,ginger and salt.
Step 03
Mix well using hands and keep aside for 5 minutes.

Heat oil in pan.Step 05
Take a small lemon sized portion of dal in your palm and flatten to round shape.Step 06
When oil gets heated add vada mix into the oil slowly. Reduce the flame to medium and fry both side till it becomes golden brown.Step 07
Serve hot with chutney and sauce of your choice.
