Yummy and spicy mutton roast


Tasty and delicious Kerala style lamb/mutton roast. I love to cook mutton roast because of its tenderness. My secret masala makes this lamb roast special and juicy. It goes well with Ghee Rice,chappathi etc… I have already tried some tasty mutton recipes likePressure cooker mutton biriyani,Kerala Style Mutton Curry,Mutton Liver Masala, Mutton Potato Masala. Ingredients

1/2 kg of Lamb
2 no of Onion
3 no of Tomato
2 tbsp. of Ginger garlic paste
4 no of Green chillies
3 springs of curry leaves
A handful of Corainderleaves
1 1/2 spn. of Chilli powder
1 spn. of Coriander powder
3/4 spn. of Turmeric powder
1/2 spn. of garam masala
1 tbsp. of Oil
Salt as required
Secret Masala
1/2 spn. of Pepper
1/2 spn. of Cumin seeds
3 no of Cardamom

Method

Step 01


Dry roast and grind all the ingredients given under special masala and grind to fine powder.Keep aside.

Step 02


Heat oil in a pan.

Step 03


Add ginger garlic paste.Fry till raw smell goes off.

Step 04


Add finely sliced onion,sliced green chillies and curry leaves. Fry till done(add little salt while sauting).

Step 05


Add chopped tomato and fry till tomatoes become mushy.

Step 06


Add chilli powder,turmeric powder,coriander powder and garam masala.Mix well and fry for 1 minute

Step 07


Add mutton and mix well and cook for 1-2 minute.

Step 08


Add special masala and coriander leaves.Mix well and transfer the masala to pressure cooker.Add 1 glass of water and 1 spoon of lime juice.

Step 09


Cook till the mutton is done.(15 minute in medium flame will be enough).

Step 10


Open cooker after that and if there is excess water, let it evaporate completely.Cook on low flame till it is roasted well.
