Healthy and delicious dosa made with oats and urd dal


Oats masala dosa is very healthy and easy to make breakfast dish. Usually we make masala dosa with rice and urd dal. Here for making oats dosa we are not using urd dal. Only we need to make batter or rice and add powdered oats. compared to normal masala dosa oats dosa is very healthy because oats contains more fiber and it is diabetic friendly too. How to make Oats Dosa

Ingredients


2 cup of rolled oats
1/2 cup of urd dal

Method


Step 01


wash urd dal and soak in water for 6 hours.

Step 02


Grind to smooth batter and ferment for 6-7 hours.

Step 03


Powder oats to fine powder and add to the batter. Add 2 tbsp. of yogurt(optional).

Step 04


Add salt and mix well. keep aside for 15 minutes.

Step 05


Heat a non stick pan. Reduce the heat,take a ladle full of batter,spread the mix on pan in circular motion to make thin Dosa.

How to make Potato Masala

Ingredients


3 no of potatoes
2 no of carrots
3-4 no of green chillies
1 no of onion
1/2 spn. of turmeric powder
1/2 spn. of mustard
1/4 spn. of cumin seeds
1 spring of curry leaves
1 tbsp. of coriander leaves
1 spn. of oil

Method


Step 01


Pressure cook potatoes. Peel off the skin and mash well with hands. Cook chopped carrots till done. Keep aside.

Step 02


Heat oil in a pan.

Step 03


Splutter mustard seeds. Add cumin seeds and chopped onion.

Step 04


Add chopped green chillies coriander leaves and curry leaves. Saute for 1 minute.

Step 05


Add mashed potatoes and carrots. Add salt and mix well with a ladle.

Step 06


Add 1/2 glass of water and mix again. Cover the lid and cook for 3-4 minutes in low flame.

How to make Spicy Onion Chutney

Ingredients


2 no of Onion
1 no of garlic
1 small piece of tamarind
1/2 spn. of chilli powder

Method


Step 01


Grind onion to smooth paste along with tamarind and garlic.

Step 02


Heat oil in a pan.

Step 03


Reduce flame and add chilli powder. Saute for 2 seconds.

Step 04


Add grounded onion mix. Add salt and mix well.

Step 04


Cook for 5 minutes in low flame till the oil starts to came out from onion.
