Oats Unniyappam is a famous traditional snack of Kerala. We need unniyappachatti We used to make unniyappam with rice. I would like to the share a traditional Unniyappam recipe with you. Here I tried a healthy unniyappam with oats. When we are making normal unniyappam with rice, we need to keep it for fermentation. This oats unniyappam is instant and easy to make. We can also give this for diabetic patients too because no sugar is needed for making this. I have already tried some diabetic-friendly oats recipes like Instant Oats Idli,Oats Kheer,Oats kozhukkattai,Oats uthappam,Spicy oats porridge,Ragi oats porridge,Apple oats porridge and oats dal fritters. Ingredients

1 cup of Oats(dry roast and powdered)
2 cup of Wheat flour
250g of Gaggery
1 no of Banana
1 spn. of cushed caradammom and cumin seeds
1/2 cup of Chopped coconut
Oil to fry

Method

how to make oats unniyappam

Step 01


Make a thick jaggery solution drain off and remove the impurities.Keep aside.

Step 02


Fry coconut pieces in ghee.

Step 03


Mash banana well with hands.

Step 04


Mix all the ingredients except oil and form a thick batter.

Step 05


If the mix is too watery add some more oats to make a thick mix.

Step 06


Heat oil in unniyappam pan and make unniyappam.

Step 07


Fry both the sides till golden color.
