Sweet and sour raita with okra
bhindi raita is a flavorful crispy side dish made with ladies finger and yogurt. It is a north indian side dish we used to serve with biriyani,pulao or even with chapathi. We can make pots of variety dishes with bhindi like crispy bhindi fry,bhindi stir fry,stuffed bhindi etc… I have already posted bhindi samba which is on eofa the traditional side dish of kerala. Bhindi raita is a sweet and sour side dish with batter fried bhindi. If you don’t want the sugar,you can discard that part. Hope you all will like this crispy bhindi raita.
how to make crispy bhindi raita
Ingredients
3 no of Ladies finger
1 cup of Thick Curd
1 no of Green chilli
1 spn. of besan flour(gram flour)
1/4 spn. of Chilli powder
2 pinch of Turmeric powder
2 pinch of Garam masala/chicken masala
1 spn. of Sugar
Salt as required
Method
Step 01
Wash and cut okra in to small pieces.
Step 02
Make a thick batter of besan flour, chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala/chicken masala and salt by adding water.
Step 03
Marinate okra with this paste for 10 minute.
Step 04
Deep fry and keep aside.
Step 05
Mix curd with sugar.
Step 06
Add fried okra at the time of serving.
