Traditional kerala side dish usually prepared for onam
Ingredients
1/2 kg of Ash gourd
1/4 kg of red gram/vanpayar
2 cup of Coconut milk(thin)
1 cup of Coconut milk(thick)
4 no of Green chillies
1 spn. of Oil
2 springs of curry leaves
Salt as required
Method
Step 01
Soak pea in water for 8 hour.Pressure cook and keep aside.
Step 02
Wash and cut the ash guard in to small pieces.
Step 03
Cook ash guard with thin coconut milk,sliced green chilli for 10 min.
Step 04
When ash guard gets cooked,add pea and salt.Againcover lid and cook for 5 min.
Step 05
Add thick coconut milk.Add oil and curry leaves.Cover lid of pan.Serve after 5 min.
