Pepper Chicken Gravy

Pepper Chicken gravy with ground pepper and coconut

Delicious pepper chicken gravy with grounded coconut and pepper. Compared to other chicken curries, pepper chicken is different in taste and color. I have already tried Pepper Chicken Dry. You can serve this pepper chicken gravy with Whole wheat garlic naan,Whole wheat naan etc…

  • 1/2 Kg of Chicken(large pieces preferred )
  • 2 tbsp. of Pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp. of Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 spn. of Vineger
  • 1 spn. of Lemon
  • 5 no of Shallots
  • 3 no of Garlic
  • 1 cup of Grated coconut
  • 1 spn. of Butter
  • 1 tbsp. of Oil
  • Salt as per taste


Step 01

Marinate chicken pieces with ginger garlic paste,1/4 S of pepper powder,vinegar.lemon juice and salt. Cook for 5-7 minutes(with 1 glass of water)..

Step 02

Slice small onion and garlic in to half and keep aside.

Step 03

Grind grated coconut well.

Step 04

Heat oil in a pan.

Step 05

Add pepper powder and sauté for 1 minute.

Step 06

Add sliced small onion,garlic,curry leaves and fry till golden brown color.

Step 07

Add chicken pieces and mix well.

Step 08

Cover the lid and cook for2 minutes.

Step 09

Add coconut paste and cook for 5 minute.

Step 10

Add butter while serving.
