Traditional kerala side dish usually prepared for festivals
Ingredients
6 no of Tomato
1 lemon sized Tamarind
1 spn. of Cumin seeds
5 no of Garlic colves
1 small piece of ginger
1 spn. of Pepper powder
1/4 spn. of Asafoetida
1 spn. of Oil
1 spn. of Mustard seeds
3 no of Red chilli
3 springs of Curry leaves
Salt as required
Method
Step 01
Grind tomato,garlic,ginger,pepper powder,cumin seeds well.
Step 02
Heat oil in a pan.Splutter mustard seeds,red chilli,coriander leaves and curry leaves.Saute well.
Step 02
Add tomato mix and boil well.
Step 02
Add tamarind pulp,asafoetida and 2 glass of water.Boil well for 5 min.
Step 02
Serve hot with rice
