Easy to make traditional kerala morru curry recipe in restaurant style.


Restaurant style moru curry is a simple and easy to cook side dish which goes well with kerala meals. It will take only 10 minutes to make this curry. I have already posted traditional kachimoru recipe. This moru curry is restaurant style curry and I love the taste of it and there is no coconut added. How to make Restaurant style Moru kachiyathu / Kachimoru

Ingredients

  • 2 cup of Curd (Yogurt)
  • 1 no of sliced onion
  • 1/2 tspn. of Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tspn. of Mustard seeds
  • 1 small piece of Ginger
  • 2 no of green chillies
  • 1/4 tspn. of Turmeric powder
  • 2-3 Green chillies
  • Salt as required
  • Oil as required

Method


Step 01

Grind curd along with small piece of ginger,green chillies,cumin seeds and turmeric powder for 2 minutes. Keep it aside.

Heat oil in a pan.

Step 02

Splutter mustard seeds. Add cumin seeds,curry leaves,red chilli. Fry for a while.

Step 03

Add sliced onion,ginger and saute well till onion become translucent.

Step 04

Add curd,salt and mix well for 1 min. When it starts to boil, turn off the flame.

    This is probably a stupid question, but since I’m in another country I have to ask: what do you mean by curd? Is it a dairy product? Thanks.
