Spicy traditional sardine fish fry with few ingredients
Sardine fish fry is one of the inevitable side dish of non-vegetarian lunch menu of we Keralites. Sardine fish is the most favorite and easily available fish in Kerala. It is a very healthy and tasty fish which is rich omega 3. Here I would like to share the fish fry recipe of sardine also called as mathi and chala in Malayalam. Sardine fish fry goes well with vegetarian curry and rice. We can make fish fry in many ways. I would like to introduce you the traditional and easy way here. Hope you all will like this recipe. Mathi curry
Ingredients
10 Whole fish cleaned preferably Sardine
1 spn. of chilli powder
1/4 spn. of turmeric powder
1/2 of one lemon
Salt as required
Oil for fry
Nadan Fish Fry preparation Method
Step 01
Make a fine paste of chilli powder, turmeric powder salt and lemon juice. You can use bit of water.
Step 03
Marinate each fish pieces with this masala one by one.Keep aside for 15 minutes.
Step 05
Heat oil in a pan.Shallow fry the fish on medium flame.(Adding curry leaves will enhance the taste).
Step 07
Flip over fish after 2-3 minutes.
Step 08
Once the Fish becomes crispy take out from the pan and serve hot.
Note :
1.You can use ginger garlic paste for marination.But this is the traditional way of making fish fry
