Spicy Oats Porridge
Healthy Porridge with oats and vegetables
Porridge is always very easy to make and delicious dish. It is a perfect comfortable meal for you tummy. Porridge will be there in my lazy weekend breakfast menu. We can make lot many varieties of porridges like sweet,sour and spicy types. We can also mix with cereals like ragi. You can check for Ragi Oats Porridge which is good for kids. Spicy porridge is always good for patients who are facing the problem of diabetics and cholesterol. Ingredients
2 cup of Oats
1 cup of Water
1/2 cup of Chopped onion
1/2 cup of Chopped carrot
1/2 cup of Chopped beans
1/2 cup of Chopped tomatoes
2 tbsp. of Chopped green chillies
2 tbsp. of Chopped coriander leaves
2 tbsp. of Chopped curry leaves
1 tbsp. of Finely chopped ginger
1 tbsp. of Finely chopped garlic
1/4 spn. of Chilli powder
1/4 spn. of Chicken Masala/garam masala
1/2 spn. of Cumin seeds
1 tbsp. of Curd(Optional)
Oil as required
Salt as required
Method
Step 01
Heat oil in a pan.Splutter cumin seeds.
Step 02
Add chopped onion,green chillies,ginger and garlic.Saute well till the raw smell goes off.
Step 03
Add chopped carrot,beans.Fry well.
Step 04
Add all spices mix well for 1 min.
Step 05
Now add coriander leaves, curd, and water and when it comes to a boil add oats and keep stirring till it becomes semi thick when it gets a porridge consistency .
Step 06
Garnish with coriander leaves and then serve hot
