    Cheera chakkakkuru curry(Spinach and jackfruit seed curry)

    Traditional Kerala side dish with spinach and jackfruit seed.

    How to make Cheera chakkakkuru curry


    2 cup of Spinach
    12 no of Jackfruit seeds
    1/2 of one Grated coconut
    1/4 spoon of Cumin seeds
    10 no of Shallots
    1 spoon of Turmeric powder
    1 spoon of chilli powder
    Salt as required
    1 spoon of Oil
    1 spoon of Mustard seeds
    4 no of Red chillies


    Step 01

    Clean the jackfruit seeds well and cut them length wise to small strips.

    Step 02

    Pressure cook jackfruit seeds with little water,turmeric powder,chili powder and salt(3-4 whistle in medium flame).

    Step 03

    Grind the Grated coconut,cumin seeds and shallots.

    Step 04

    When jackfruit seeds get cooked,add chopped spinach.Cover lid and cook for 2-3 min.Do not put whistle.

    Step 05

    Add ground coconut mixture and mix well.Add salt if needed.cook for 1 minute.When the curry starts boiling,turn off the burner.(do not boil curry after adding coconut mixture).

    Step 06

    Heat oil in a pan.Splutter mustard seeds.Add curry leaves and red chillies.

    Step 07

    Add this seasoning to curry and mix well.
