Sweet Kozhukkatta
Delicious rice dumplings
Yummy Sweety rice dumplings with grated coconut and dry fruits.A perfect break fast for your kids
Ingredients
1 cup of roasted Rice flour
1 tbsp. of sugar
1/2 cup of grated coconut
2 tbsp. of raisins
10 no of nuts
1 no of sliced banana
1 spn. of dates syrup(optional)
1 pinch of Salt
Method
Step 01
Take a heavy bottom vessel.Add water and little salt.Bring to boil(for 1 cup of of rice flour I took 1 1/2 cup of water.Consistency should be correct.otherwise you can’t make a smooth dough).
Step 02
When the water starts boiling add the rice flour(you can use puttu podi or pathiri podi also) to this, stirring continuously without allowing any lumps to form.
Step 03
When the mixture has formed into smooth thick dough, remove from fire. The dough must be thick enough like chappathi dough.
Step 04
Smoothen the prepared rice flour batter with your hands.
Step 05
Make small balls (like size of a gooseberry).
Step 06
Steam cook this rice dumplings(put this dumplings in a rice drainer and steam cook.5-7 min in medium flame)
Step 07
Mix grated coconut,dry fruits and sugar in a bowl.
Step 08
Add this rice dumplings and again mix well.
Step 09
Garnish with dates syrup and sliced banana.
