Easy tasty tomato onion chutney prepared in Restaurant Style
Tangy and smooth chutney with onion and tomato. My son like this chutney a lot.He will eat 2-3 Idli’s with this chutney.So I will prepare this often (2 -3 times a week).When I will get scoldings from my husband I don’t know 😉 . This easy Restaurant Style tomato onion chutney goes well with Dosa,Idli,Appam etc…
1 large no of onion
2 medium sized tomato
1 spring of curry leaves
2 cloves of garlic(optional)
1/2 spn. of chilli powder
1 small piece of tamarind
2 spn. of oil
Tomato Onion Chutney Restaurant Style Preparation Method
Heat oil in a pan.
Add chopped onion,garlic and curry leaves.Fry till onion became translucent.
Add chopped tomato and tamarind.Fry till tomatoes became mushy.
Add chilli powder and saute for 1 minute.
Switch off the flame and add salt.Allow to cool.
Grind the mix using 2 tbsp. of water to smooth fine paste.
Serve with Idli,dosa etc…
