Vellayappam
Traditonal breakfast of kerala.Goes well with egg roast,chicken curry etc…
Ingredients
2 cup of Unboiled rice(pachari)
1/2 cup of Cooked rice
1/2 cup of Grated coconut
2 tbsp of Coconut Water(Optional)
1 tbsp. of Sugar
Salt to taste
1 cup of Water
Method
Step 01
Soak unbolied rice in water for 4 hours.
Step 02
Put the soaked unbolied rice, cooked rice, grated coconut,coconut water water and sugar in the mixer and grind well.
Step 02
Keep the batter for fermentation(at least 6 hours).
Step 03
Add salt to this batter and mix well.
Step 04
Heat non stick tawa or vellayappam chutty and make vellayappam.
