Delicious laddus with wheat flour and ghee
Wheat flour laddu or atta laddu is a traditional winter snack recipe prepared during festivals like Diwali. This is a North sweet snack made with whole wheat, ghee and sugar.
We make lot of recipes with wheat flour like chappathi, paratha,ada etc…But a laddu with wheat flour was new to me. I got this recipe from a magazine came under Diwali sweets. My first trail was a disaster 🙁 .I took 1/2 cup of ghee for 1 1/2 cup of wheat flour. I couldn’t able to make balls from that mixture. So we ate hose laddus in powder form 😉 . Next time I took more ghee and it was a success.
Wheat flour laddu is a traditional and simple Maharashtrian recipe. These laddus are very nutritional and are specially made for ladies who are expecting. Hope you all will like this recipes. Please try it out and let me know how it turned out for you.
How to make Wheat flour Laddu
Ingredients
1 cup of Wheat Flour
1 cup of Ghee
3/4 cup of Sugar
1/2 spn. of Cardamom powder
Method
Step 01
Heat ghee in a pan.
Step 02
Add wheat flour and roast in low flame till it start releasing ghee and an aroma is released. This process takes approximately 30 minutes.
Step 03
When the color of wheat flour changed in to a slight golden color. Remove from flame. Add cardamom powder and sugar. Mix well with a ladle and knead with hands.
Step 04
Make medium sized tight balls while the mix is warm.
Step 05
Garnish with almond flakes.
