A healthy and crispy snack with whole wheat.

Puri is a very famous Indian bread made with just three ingredients: whole wheat, salt and water. This recipe is a crispy version of the same with some more ingredients. I made this small crispy puri for my kids who always need something to much. Snacks are inevitable part of our diet too. More than we elders kids wants snacks everyday. Most of the snacks we buy from out side are not healthy. If we spend some time to make snacks at home itself, we can give healthy and nutritious snacks for them. Here I would like to share a crispy whole wheat puri recipe. We can add ajwain, sesame seeds, cumin along with the wheat four to make it more healthy. If we make this on a weekend, we can store this for a whole week and give them as snack. Hope you all will like this small crispy puri. Please try it out and let me know how it turned out for you.

How to make Whole wheat Crispy Puri

Ingredients

2 cup of Wheat flour 1 spn. of cumin seeds 1/2 spn. of ajwain seeds 1 spn. of sesame seeds 1 spn. of butter Salt as required

Method

Step 01

Take a large bowl and add wheat flour,ajwain seeds,cumin seeds,sesame seeds,butter and salt. Add water little by little Knead well to smooth dough(chapathi consistency). Keep aside for 15 minutes.

Step 02

Make small balls from the dough and roll in to thin chapathi. Using cap of a bottle make small puri shapes. Or you can directly make small puri shapes.

Step 03

Heat Oil in a pan and once it is in smokey consistency, reduce the flame to medium and make puris.

Step 04

Cook it until golden brown on both sides.

Step 05

Store in airtight container. Note: 1. If we are ready to spend 1 hour to make this snack, we can give healthy snack for our kids for a whole week. crispy puri
