Soft and aromatic garlic butter naan made with whole wheat. Eat healthy and live healthy
Whole wheat butter naan with crushed garlic and chopped coriander leaves. I think naan is most ordered Indian main course in restaurants. But we will get only all purpose flour(maida) naan from restaurants. I am against maida and prepared naan with whole wheat flour. I have already tried Whole wheat naan without yeast.
Same way we can make garlic butter naan with slight difference. Just add crushed garlic and coriander leaves while rolling the dough.
I served this garlic butter naan with Baby corn Manchurian. I can also some other side dishes like Mixed vegetable kuruma(step by step),Easy onion tomato masala(step by step).Meal maker Manchurian (soya chunks manchurian) etc… Hope you all will like the recipe and do try it out.

Ingredients
250g of wheat flour
1 spn. of baking powder
1/8 spn. of baking soda
1 tbsp. of yogurt
2 tbsp. of milk
1/2 spn. of sugar
Salt as required
2 spn. of crushed Garlic
2 spn. of finely chopped coriander leaves
1 tbsp. of butter
Whole wheat garlic butter naan preparation steps
Step 01
Sieve whole wheat, baking powder, baking soda and salt. This is to remove and large lumps in these ingredients.Step 02
Mix sugar, yogurt and milk and mix it well with wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Knead to smooth dough.Step 03
Cover the dough with a wet cloth and keep aside for 15 minutes.Step 04
After 15 minutes, add 2 tbsp. of oil for kneading. Knead the dough and again covered with the wet cloth. Keep aside for 10 more minutes.Step 05
Make small balls from the dough, and roll in to 6-7 inches oval shape. Spread finely chopped garlic and coriander leaves on naan and press it using rolling stick.Step 06
Place the Naan on hot tava. Cook both sides of the Naan till it get browned.Step 07
When the Naan get browned, drizzle olive oil/ butter while cooking if you want. For the health conscious you can have them plain also.step by step whole wheat naan recipe without yeast :
1.Take a vessel, sieve whole wheat, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
2.Mix sugar,yogurt and milk and mix it with wheat flour and other ingredients from step 1.
3. Knead to smooth dough.
4.Cover the dough with a wet cloth and keep aside for 15 minutes.
5.After 15 minutes, add 2 tbsp. of oil for kneading.Knead the dough and again covered with the wet cloth.Keep aside for 10 more minutes.
6.Make small balls from the dough, and roll in to 6-7 inches oval shape. Spread finely chopped garlic and coriander leaves on naan and press it using chapathi rolling stick.
8.Place the Naan on hot tava. Cook both sides of the Naan till it get browned.
9.When the Naan get browned, drizzle olive oil/ butter while cooking if you want. You can also have them plain.
You could try non vegetarian curries like Chicken Roast, Beef Curry, Mutton liver masala or Mutton potato masala,Meatball manchurian and vegetarian curries like Dum aloo,Dal Curry,Multi dal gravy along with Whole wheat garlic butter naan.
