Easy Bitter gourd Fry – Pavakka Recipe with step by step photos
Easy to make one pot bitter gourd fry
Bitter gourd fry with basic ingredients prepared in 10 minutes. Bitter gourd also known as karela / pavakka. It is a very healthy vegetable used to reduce sugar level in blood. Because of the taste bitter gourd is not liked by all. But bitter gourd is my husband’s all time favorite. He would be happy if I give bitter gourd fry daily.
I often do experiments with it like pavakka curry with roasted coconut, pavakka tomato masala, pavakka mezhukku puratti etc…This time I tried this easy fry with pavakka. Just add all the ingredients together and slow cook. No sauteing and frying required. Hope you all will like this easy fry with bitter gourd. Ingredients
2 no of medium bitter gourd
1 no of onion
2 no of tomato
1/2 spn. of chilli powder
1/6 spn. of turmeric powder
salt as required
1 spn. of OIl
Bitter gourd fry Preparation Steps
Step 01
Finely chop onio,tomato and bitter gourd.Step 02
Heat oil in a panStep 03
Add all the ingredients.Mix well and cover the pan.Do not add water now.Step 04
Cook for 5 minutes in medium flame.Add 1/4 cup of water and again cook for 5 minutes in low flame.Step 05
Serve hot with rice.Bitter gourd fry with step by step photos.
